Haldi & Mehendi Decoration
Haldi and mehendi decoration covers the backdrop, bride or couple seating, floral rings and marigold curtains, urli and floor florals, and photo corners for the pre-wedding ceremonies. The palette usually runs through yellow, green and marigold orange, and the setup is planned to cope with turmeric, water and a crowded floor.
Haldi is the loosest function of a wedding and the hardest on decor. Turmeric paste, water, petals and a crowd of relatives all end up on the same few square metres of floor, so the setup has to look full in photographs while staying practical underfoot.
We build the colour from the backdrop outward — marigold or sunflower curtain, floral ring or arch, then the seating, the urli and the floor florals — so the frame behind the bride or groom reads saturated from every angle the family films from.
Mehendi usually shares the palette but needs a different layout: seating for the bride and the artists at the centre, with enough light on the hands for the photographs that matter most at that function.
