Most birthday bookings with ZS Events are at home. A good home setup gives you one clean photo frame, a cake table that is easy to reach, and balloon work that suits the room instead of crowding it. This guide covers the ideas that work, what the day looks like, and what we need from you to quote.
Start with the photo frame
Decide where the cake is cut and where the birthday person will stand. We build the backdrop and balloon work around that spot, and keep the doorway and walking path clear.
For a first birthday the backdrop sits lower, because the child is small and the camera drops to meet them. For adults the cake table sits away from the entrance so guests do not walk through the shot.
Balloon and backdrop ideas that suit a home
A balloon ring with a neon name sign is compact and works in most living rooms. Organic balloon garlands over a plain backdrop suit larger walls. A heart or arch backdrop works well for anniversaries and milestone birthdays.
Themes are carried through the whole setup. If the theme is on the backdrop, it should also appear on the cake table, so the room does not look half-finished in wide photos.
What the day looks like
A home setup usually takes two to three hours to install. Standard themes can often be arranged the same day, and custom-printed backdrops or character cutouts need three to four days.
Please keep the room empty of furniture you want moved, and tell us if the building has lift timings or a restriction on stickers or tape on walls.
